8EMEZZO project draws inspiration from the basic ingredients of cuisine for a series of stackable wooden bowls, whose forms connect to the missing half of the original content.

As we cut an object in half in the kitchen, we create asymmetrical shapes as half lemons, half onions, half cabbages. Eight wooden bowls are the outcome of the designer’s reflection on “the other half” concept.

Beauty and know-how have old roots in Umbria, from classic art to contemporary industrial ingeniousness. Based on these assumptions, Regione Umbria promoted a site specific project, Scorched or Blackened, in collaboration with designers and professors from ABA - Academy for Fine Arts of Perugia who presented a series of objects inspired by the basic materials of quality crafts from Umbria: Arthur Duff/ceramics, Marco Williams Fagioli/wood, Pietro Carlo Pellegrini/paper, Paul Robb/glass.

Scorched or Blackened project was promoted by Regione Umbria at the Università degli Studi of Milan, within the framework of the exhibition event Interni Open Borders during the FuoriSalone 2016.
